网讯 7月15日，《怪奇物语 第一季》首播9周年之际，Netflix发布了《怪奇物语 第五季》（Stranger Things）海报，主题为“最后一次冒险，首支预告将于16日晚揭晓！
本季故事线将重回霍金斯小镇，与第一季形成叙事闭环。故事发生在1980年代的印地安纳州霍金斯镇，通往“颠倒世界”的传送门经一次实验意外开启，自此颠倒世界的事物便逐渐蔓延至整座小镇。此前，联合制片人透露，威尔是最后一季的“重要角色和焦点”，很可能让这部剧情回到第一季，当时他被困在“颠倒世界”。其次，第五季将有一个时间跳跃，不过这不会是一个巨大的飞跃。
《怪奇物语 第五季》共8集，将分为三部分上线：第一部分于11月26日首播，第二部分于12月25日首播，最后部分于12月31日首播。
