梗概：太平洋某国繁华城市，中学教师老马调查侄子意外溺亡的事件，发现背后有人为操纵的痕迹，并由此揭开两年前一桩旧案的真相。
此前，谢清华编剧作品《潜行》中融合动作、犯罪与人性探讨，新作《真探》延续其对社会犯罪议题的关注，但视角转向普通人追寻正义的跨国悬疑叙事，主题更具现实纵深。
