影片并不会是超人的“单人片”，很多DC宇宙中的超级英雄以及后续会出现的角色，也会出现在本片中，但超人依旧是“主要主角”。电影将围绕着超人卡尔·艾尔的身世展开，他将试图平衡自己的氪星血统和作为克拉克·肯特的地球身份。
电影《超人》将于7月11日同步北美在中国内地上映。
