作为2023年全球票房第二名的影片，《超级马力欧兄弟大电影》全球票房超过13亿美元。第二部会将马力欧的世界进一步扩展，是一个明亮且愉快的故事，影片由艾伦·霍瓦斯和迈克尔·杰伦尼克执导，马修·福格尔编剧。
按照计划，《超级马力欧世界》将于2026年4月3日在北美上映。
