电影主角是一名退休的外科医生（杨紫琼 饰），她遭到了绑架，被迫为一名神秘人物实施手术。但她凭借着35年的外科手术经验制服了敌人。这部电影被形容为有着“炸裂而残酷的对抗”，视觉风格“前所未见”。
